Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her work in film and on television since the mid 1980s. The actress has won numerous awards, including the Golden Globe Award as well as sixteen NAACP Image Awards. She is known for her roles in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt after being born at New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was about five. She and her younger sister later went from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett chose to become an actress after she saw the play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main roles, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
